I've seen a couple of marth vids they use an aerial neutral B rather than a fair or uair. Does this serve any other purpose than tacking on damage?

It has greater knockback that fair or uair. Its a good choice to end a combo if:

They're too high for a dair
They're too far away (or you're too far from the edge) for a reverse dolphin slash.

I like to jump off the ledge and Neutral B for edgeguarding just because it's flashy. It has more knockback and reach than a FAir with little ending lag so it's an option for off the stage edgeguarding. Other than that I really can't see it being used much due to its low stun and openning lag.

If your opponents are sheild-grab whores, you can throw out Neutral Bs to break them of that habit. Either they'll stop trying to sheild grab you or end up in tipper country.

Breaking someone's shield is always a learning experience for everyone.

It lags more, and it falls with Marth. When it comes to spacing in midair, Marth's B can intercept an enemy's approach.

You dont have to fully charge it, or charge it at all for that matter, if you connect an uncharged hit from neutral B on marth, the sheild will nearly halve in size.

It's hit-and-run tactic, if you manage to hit their shield twice in a reasonable period of time they're not going to have a sheild anymore.

Montreal. PM me if you're on the island! I need op
Neutral B is used to end combos when your opponent has no double jump, from what I've seen (or against foes with extremely vertical recoveries). It'll easily put most characters out too far to recover.

SH neutralB into a shield is a great way of punishing shieldgrabbers. You can very easily toestomp them with dtilt if you want, or wait a split second for them to notice their shield is about to break. Most people will just release the shield button without thinking when they see this. Tip an fsmash when they do so, until they learn to WD/jump out, or at the very least roll out.

By the way, tippered fair to reverse dolphin slash for a KO is something I do quite often to midwieghts (Mario, Shiek and other Marth's, to name a few). It's quite flashy, and your opponent won't see it comming, so their DI will probably utterly fail at helping them (usualy they see the fair and say to themselves "oh ****, spike comming" and DI towards the stage). You'd be surprised at how early this can kill, especially on stages with close walls like Yoshi's Story or FoD.

Once you've conditioned your opponent to expect it, you can go back to spiking too :p

It's true, I did this at a tournament against a Sheik player. He was blocking my DSHfairs so I was like "ok" and landed a B, he rolled, I landed another B, bam, broken. Too fun.
