It seem that it is indeed possible. I was messing around with link and I was able to air dodge and cancel it by throwing my bomb. I never heard of it working in melee before so I decided to post it here and let you guys try it out yourselves. It's pretty weird.

Let me know if this has already been discovered.

It also works with peachs turnips. I haven't tested it but I'm going to assume it works with all throwable items. I will be uploading a video very soon.

Edit-This has already been found by ConnorTheKid. I just found his video on youtube.

Made me think. VERY subtle, the only times you made me believe it was anything new was 0:41 where you seem to change momentum faster than normally possible, and I'm not still convinced that's anything "new", but still enjoyed watching (interesting textures). If it is unique, it's a little less useful and more character-specific than moonwalking, but certainly something to think about. I haven't previously seen this put forth, not like I've seen everything though.

I've been messing around with it some more. If you air dodge forward and throw the bombs backwards it makes a very nice retreating bomb throw.

Edit- I tested it with other characters and with items on and it does seem to work with any throwable item. The distance traveled seems to be affected by how fast you were moving before you air dodged. Captain falcon gets quite a large boost when doing this. Sadly this is useless for him since we don't play with items on.

Peach does have a good AGT, and so does Falcon. Obviously much better for Peach.

Can you airdodge again after glide tossing? It'd be ridiculous to see someone recover by getting a little boost from a vertical glide toss into another vertical airdodge. lol

You should have read my first post. I already acknowledged that connor found this out before me. Not only that, I posted the link to his video.
I'm very sorry, I read your post the day before, and went youtubing today, came across it and didn't read the first post again.
Didn't mean to be an *** or anything ^^

Ahh, that's totally understandable. No worries. =)

@bones- That wouldn't be all that great saying as the upward aerial glide toss is relatively small but I do believe it is possible. Because the aerial glide toss doesn't leave you in the helpless state so you could pretty much upb or air dodge again.
