Advice on playing the neutral with Sonic.

If this has already been asked, sorry about that, but I'm curious what sort of approaches you're meant to take with Sonic's neutral. Even trying to make plays for whiff punishing don't seem all that effective with him, and his gameplay in general feels very linear, to the point I'd swear you can't make approaches at all without it being stuffed by random buttons. Although a personal issue I have tends to be centered around edge guarding; too afraid of flubbing it and SD'ing from it.

well, I think its main tool is dash dancing and hence drift mix ups using down tilt to combo into fair, nair or even ftilt, and use side B for combos, and down B for killing set ups
