Eh, can't blame you for trying :/ even though its a little late to post that by now, good job for putting a little time to help out some of the falco players who don't understand "ledge jump fire 2 lasers, thats how you do it!" posts.

@kycas there is defintely need for this, have you read DaShizWiz's thread? like every other person was asking him how to do the edge hop double laser.

You should add some revisions to the video. Such as ledgehopping Bairs to edge guard, and doing the ledge drop -> wall jumped Dair.

EDIT: I still thought it was rather informative.

These are good ideas, I can make a part 2 to the video with these included. Any other edge techniques people can think of that I should add? Should I add wall jump -> Phantasm?

I would add shinestall, phantasm stall, some walljump stuff. Then ledgehops, like outward bair, spiking dair, and maybe ledgehop>wavedash, both ways.

I was going to call you out for reviving such an old thread, but these techniques are all still pretty relevant.

Sidenote: does anyone know the advantages of the turnaround shine firebird edgehog? I can't tell what's fastest between turnaround waveshine, reverse SHL, shinehog, and runoff phantasm. But I do notice that top-level players use turnaround waveshine and shinehog almost exclusively.

I have no idea about the frame data for falco edgehogs but there's an instructional video on fox edgehog speed here:

I imagine it's similar for falco, but every time falco jumps he takes more frames than fox does.

Shine turnaround wavedash is like twice as fast as run off shine turnaround firebird. Run off phantasm is probably just a little bit slower than shine turnaround wavedash, but not to the point where it will make a difference. Shine turnaround wavedash looks way cooler though.
