Yeah, I can WD with Fox easily. Don't worry about that.

The thing is, though, once I play Fox for a bit, I cannot wavedash with my other characters (Marth and Falco) because I'm used to Fox's one-frame jump, as opposed to Marth's regular jump and Falco's slow one. Is there any way to build an immunity to this? Well, practicing obviously, but does anyone have any practice strategies to get used to the differences in their jump speeds?

You answered your own question. There is no easy way to get used to something that is difficult. The most effective (and obvious) way of tackling this problem is with consistant practice, like you said.

keep attempting wavedashes with the certain character of your choosing and you will catch on to it. I started wavedashing with fox at first, and then tried luigi which felt very wierd, but after a lot of attempts, it became a second nature to notice how fast the buttons should be pressed for each character. Since I mastered wavedashing on certain characters, it only took me 5 minutes to get the hang of Falco's wavedash.

not to be picky, but fox isnt a 1 frame jump. his is 3 frames iirc.

*goes counts*

3 frames. airborne on frame 4 (frame you airdodge on). marth is airborn frame 5, falco frame 6. you can really get a sense of frames by learning perfect WD timing for these three. if you jump but dont airdodge at all you are doing it too fast, if you are WDing really short or just airdodging you are too late.

*shrugs* i actually play the exact same 3 characters you do

i always warmup with falco, then do marth, then i go to fox and have no trouble adjusting that way. nor backwards either.

but yeah, it's just practice. : )

I have this same thing. I play fox ad a million other characters, but I really likeyoung link and luigi. Wavedashing with young link is easy, but for luigig, I usually end up full jumoing when I try to wavedash, which is bad.
just do it slower.
