Ace Combat finally returns to the home consoles, rebooting the franchise into what appears to be a arcade flight game now. In addition, Helicopters will be now usable, sure to bring cinematic experiences to Ace Combat.Namco Bandai has lifted the lid on Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, the latest in the long-running combat flight sim coming to PS3 and 360.
Coming almost three years after the last installment, Ace Combat 6 (released in 2007), Assault Horizon will feature a single-player campaign and multiplayer online modes, although that's as specific as Namco chose to be with the announcement.
Oh, it has planes too, as the trailer below confirms. It also shows what looks like helicopter gameplay (nice) and sections where you simply control a gun turret (Modern Warfare 2-style). It certainly looks good.
No release window was announced either, giving us not a lot else to share with you at the moment. Jeez Namco, too busy for us, are you?
