Accidentally Rolling: Help?

Sometimes I accidentally roll when I am shielding.

Example: I run and than stop to shield. I try and dash again but I end up rolling. Is there a way to help this or do I just try and be a lot more precise, as in let go of the shield a split second before I dash. Even then I still end up accidentally rolling a lot of the time.

You're inputting the 2nd dash while you're still holding shield.
