About Event Mode

This question has probably been asked before, but what are the plans for Event Mode? Remake all of them? Only the ones that don't work for Project M? (Ex: "Cleaning House in Skyworld!", as there is no destructible terrain to break to win the event) Or just not bother with it at all?

EternalYoshi is conducting research on event mode. He's said that certain aspects like the characters that can be used and what items spawn in can be changed, IIRC. There was a thread about it not too long ago, you should look for it somewhere in the last two pages.
