About Dan Salvato's Tripping mod

I'm referring to this: (posted by @MagicScrumpy but created by @Dan Salvato):

I actually think this mod is quite awesome, but I have some questions:

1. Can attacks cause tripping as in Brawl and Smash U?

2. If 1. is true, is it possible to make a version that only has attack-caused tripping?

It's just a random chance on the first frame of dash, or something similar to that.
