A White Screen on Wii Console

Our copy of Brawl has suddenly started acting up, and I don't really know why. After the warning and loading screen, it goes black for a few seconds and then freezes at a white screen. The Wii stops reading the disk and I can't solve the issue. Something also of note, Metroid Prime was played before then, but not sure if it caused it.

If anyone can link me a thread or provide helpful tips it would be greatly appreciated.
