This AT has been out for a while but it's extremely underused. Here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4tmLsflA_c
There's a link to the thread where Phanna describes how to do it.
You can probably figure out some easy applications with Lucas. Foxtrotting Fsmashes is always nice for spacing and is very simple to do. It can be handy for reflecting projectiles as well. Pivoting Dsmashes is another great use (especially if you're being chased by a B move like Yoshi's egg roll, IC's side B or Metaknight's Mach tornado.) It's a little harder to do though. Foxtrot and quickly flick the analog both ways (I mean fast) plus c-stick down works best for me. Pivoting Ftilts can be useful too but I find it to be annoyingly hard. And the duration of Dsmash does me more good usually.
Finally, foxtrot away, to dashdance, dash attack is really nice. Your dash attack will cover around the distance as your foxtrot so you can use this as a quick retreat and attack if you're close to the opponent under pressure. Plus it's about the only way you'll ever land Lucas's dash attack. Obviously don't ever get predictable with this. Foxtrot, flick the analog both ways slightly slower and attack.
Mix these in with your retreating pivot grabs and you can really start punishing approaches. Learn how to pivot. It's another tool to help you win.
PS: Phanna is amazing. Look up his Melee stuff on youtube.
