A refresher on DIing

As you know, DIing is basic and the best way to get out of attacks, multi hit attacks, and live up to really long %s. I know some of us really forget about it and probably saw the video before but I just wanted to throw it out there.

I've hung on from a D3 u-smash at 188%, it was incredible. Normally that sends me flying.

The terminology kinda confused me for a sec, because many players, including myself know Smash DI as "smashing" or "tapping" the control stick. Tap DI just sounds like some random name you never hear and Automatic Smash DI (ASDI) refers to performing the same thing with the c-stick.

Anyway, you're supposed to smash both of them repeatedly (in brawl). Some people just hold the cstick in one direction since it automatically registers whichever direction as a 'smash' by default. Btw, don't let your smash di with the control stick mess up your regular di.

btw, hippiedude, I just smash di pikachu's dsmash away from him... sometimes a little upward depending on the situation.

TDI is definatly tap.
I think SDI is hold.
TDI + SDI is hold C-stick and tap analog stick.
