A property of PKT2

I really doubt anyone can put this to any good use but I thought I'd mention it in case somebody else can. Ness's PKT2 can be edge cancelled. Hit yourself at an angle directly at the very edge of a stage or platform and it will cancel immediately letting you use any move and making Ness sparkle for a little while. It's near impossible to get it just right but I've been able to do it a few times. It's much easier with Lucas.

You know the part of a ledge or platform where you start your "whoa I'm about to fall animation"? If you hit a PKT2 right to that point from the air Ness immediately cancel his PKT2 and you can use any move you want. It's really really hard to do.

yea good luck using it for anything even if you can figure out how to do it. Maybe Simna will figure out some way to do it effectively. Lucas has an easy way to do it but sadly it doesn't work the same way for Ness.

So do you have to hit the stage at the point, or slide to it?

A 45 degree downward angle might make this not impossible.

You have to hit it. If you slide to it you'll just either stop there or go off the edge of it. You have to hit exactly at the point which is why it's so hard. Yes it is possible because I've done it 3 or 4 times. It's just really hard.
