I should have said video game originated characters. Either way you aren't actually allowed to do that to my knowledge

A character doesn't become eligible just because they appeared in licensed video games. The director of Smash explicitly said that non-video game characters like Spongebob, Goku, and Iron Man are "impossible", and the rules for the Newcomer Speculation forum specifically say that a character needs to originate from a video game.

Even though he has appeared in games he was created for a non gaming medium. Thus making the Mouse completely ineligible for Smash.

A shame too, as Mickey vs Mario would be a dream match up for some.
