Hello. I'm still quite new to melee and just have a few questions about fox.
1.What is the fastest way to grab the ledge if standing right next to it or walking towards it while facing away from it? Turn around wavedash back? Shine turnaround up-b stall?

2.Is it necessary to fastfall when wavedashing backward onto the ledge with fox and falco due to their falling speed?

Thank you for replying, any tips are appreciated.

  1. Wavedash back, ff.
  2. Not necessarily, but it's the fastest way.

I think you meant when you're facing towards the ledge.

Best ways are shine turnaround wavedash back or run off shine turnaround up b.

Definitely learn to fast fall your wavedash back to the ledge. According to the frame data, it actually makes the whole thing twice as fast than if you didn't.

I run off > side B swettspot. Fox should grab the edge before there's a hitbox on the illusion.

Pivot > FF is the fastest way though. But l can't do it cosistently.
