So I kinda dropped DK awhile back, but decided to pick him up again a few days ago. And earlier today we had some pre-survivor smashing at my place. Because Ankoku was there with his trusty recording devices, we got tons of videos.

Nice friendlies, if you start using the 9 rol Giant punch you get much more and early kills.

I'm not sure how viable the 9 punch is in a real match. Its takes more time to release than a fully charged one, and it doesn't have super armor, so they really have to leave themselves open to get hit by it.

Btw, keep the advice coming. I'm going to continue to experiment with DK and try to use him in more novel ways, but it helps to brush up on things I'm missing.

Flying kong at low % is a no-no. You probably wont knock them back far enough to keep yourself from being punished.

follow up your tilts and combo with them, i saw you dtilt trip and not attempt another hit and i saw you utilt at a low % and not follow it up either.

dsmash OOS is too good, didnt ever see it

dont edgehog marth he will stage spike you lol

when you are having poke fights the down special is really nice bc it has such good range, combo it into bair or at higher % utilt and usmash

headbutt is a nice momentum kill when you get knocked vertical. dont use your jump, just DI and bair then headbutt to provoke them to challenge you offstage and you might get in a dair spike if they do chase you.

keep doing those cargo throws, DK is good at edgegames.

Nice DK, you handled well, nice spikes.
- I think he baited your Air Dodge or Dair alot, so just mix it up with those a lil more i guess.
- You need to use DTilt a little more, getting MK in a DTilt -> SideB is just too sexy (Fsmash or DK punch anyone?)

at about 1 minute on "the best one of the night" when bowyer was under the stage trying to get a sharked uair, you could've had a free dsmash kill, it'll go through the stage and stage spike em whenever they try stuff like that

other than that, it seems like you knew to use a lot of the good moves, but you looked a little awkward with your utilts/usmashes. bair (or double bair) to utilts is great at low %'s

also, more down... everything, downb is a great poke, downtilt sets ko moves, and downsmash is pretty much all around handy, as long as you aren't going to get punished for it (great by the ledge)

brings me to another thing, when they're up by te ledge, stay on them, they're in a really bad spot, space with fsmashes/downb to knock em back down on the ledge, if they try to jump, running usmash/SH uair depending on the character
