I'm not sure if this is already a thing, but I was messing around with G&W and found out if you quickly return the control stick to neutral after each input of the dash dance (a.k.a. flick the control stick instead of holding it in the direction you want to go) you can move over a wider range and have more timing options with the dance. The problem I was running into before was G&W going into his sliding animation when trying to slow the dance down.
Another neat thing with this is if you time it right, you can keep dashing in the same direction without leaving G&W's dash pose (or just leaving it for a frame or 2). Not necessarily useful, but looks kinda cool
