Midwest 8/20/15 Rapid Smash Monthly Smash 4 PR Tournament

Thursday August 20th will be our last Monthly Power Ranking tournament of the Summer Season.

This tournament is free to enter

Friendlies and set up begins at 5:00 PM

We will start as soon as possible after set up in order to complete the tournament before we need to finish up at 8:30


If you are interested in participating please bring your on controller.

Also, if you can bring a full set up for Smash 4 please do so! This means a viewing device like a monitor as well as a Wii U and all the required accessories. We will have at least one to two Smash 4 set up available, but the rest is on you!

We are using a modified version of CEO's Smash 4 ruleset:

All games are best 2 out of 3.

A. Game Settings
-Stock and time are set to 2 stock and 6 minutes
-Custom Fighters are set to off
-Mii Fighters are legal. Players may use 1111, 2222 or 3333 Mii Brawlers/Swordsmen/Gunners (Using Default Miis provided on console) AKA medium sized miis. No other specials for Mii Fighters will be allowed. Players are not allowed to transfer existing Miis to a setup.
-All DLC characters are legal

Counterpick Stages
-Castle Siege

* Treated as Final Destination in banning phase. If Final Destination is banned, Omega Stages are banned and vice versa.
** If Battlefield is banned, Miiverse in turn is banned as well. Both stages treated as one and the same.

C. Additional Rules
-Stage Striking: Players engage in a battle of R.P.S. (Rock Paper Scissors) best of 1. Winner strikes the first stage. Loser then strikes the next two stages. Winner strikes the last one effectively choosing the first stage they play on. (1-2-1)
-Stage Clause: A player may not pick any stage they previously won on during the set.
-Stage Bans: During the stage ban phase, the player who won the previous game may ban 2 stages from either the Starter or Counter-pick lists.
