To tell you the truth this actually sounds like a good idea to me. I would love to be able to do more then one taunt especially a suicide taunt like if Fox jumps and call for his ship it would pick him up and fly to the top of the screen to a high ceiling death.

Cool idea. I fully support it. Also, taunts shouldn't be cancelable. If you get a boot to the face while taunting, you deserve it.

I'm supportive of the idea, but is anyone thinking of the different control schemes? The classic and gamecube controllers are pretty much identical, but how would you taunt four ways using the wii remote?

The easiest solution is that you don't. The extra taunts aren't necessary to the game, so it's hardly a problem if the wiimote can only perform one.

Or maybe Sakurai could think of some sort of crazy two-button combo layout mixing together the taunt button and some attack buttons to make it work. Sort of like how you smash on the sideways Wii Remote. It could work...

It would be an awesome Pokemon Trainer taunt where it goes as;

*Cell phone rings* "Hello? I'm in the middle of something........ Team Rocket?... Team Rocket can suck on ma balls."

But the problem with using x, y, or the ^ control stick for something else is those are all used for jumping, and some people use X (like me), some use Y, and some use up. I don't want X used for taunting and then have to learn how to jump with Y.

Oh, and I think this four taunt idea is genius.

You can fully customize3 your controls on this game remember. In theory it might be possible to move with AXYB, and do tilts by holding the control stick. In this case, why not have unlockable taunt options and you can assign the one/ones you like, or not have any.

4 diffrent types of taunts would be great, each taunt would show a certain mood, one could be and angry "ill get u for that" taunt another could be a "hell YEAH" type taunt on could be normal aunt and the other could just be a really funny one

These short messages are entered in advance, and you send them by taunting. There are four messages for the four directions on the + Control Pad: Up, down, left and right.

Given this and the two taunts shown on the ICs update, it looks like each character will have 4 taunts. Neato.

I could care less if his melee taunt came back. It was so lame. I'm hoping that the 64 taunt makes an appearance. That one was badass. If they get rid of Young Link I think drinking Lon Lon Milk should be another taunt for Link (that taunt was also pretty badass).

i agree that his SSB taunt was da sh33t, but i say give him his bad arse twilight princess taunt when he puts his swrd away while spnning it.
