The third phase of voting for Smash Summit 3 has concluded, with two more players invited and two others eliminated. James “HTC | Mafia” Lauerman landed in 1st place, while Johnny “Tempo | S2J” Kim took second. Both will be flown out to compete with some of the best Super Smash Bros. Melee players in the world. Additionally, Joey “Selfless | Lucky” Aldama and Daniel “VGBC | ChuDat” Rodriguez will not move on to the next phase, and so won’t be able to attend. Both players had some strong showings in 2016, which goes to show just how competitive voting can be.
