THE ONE RULE


-First and most important rule: by signing up, you're very aware that online matches are subject to subtle to pretty extreme lag, something not ideal for anybody. By signing up you agree that you're ok with these less-than-ideal conditions and that you can't use it as an excuse to do things like abruptly end a match or demand a rematch.
Lag is part of the deal here, guys!

STANDARD RULES
these are flexible, meaning that if both competitors agree that they want to disregard one or more rules from the set, they can; however, if your opponent disagrees with the disregard of any of these rules (e.g items off), it becomes non-negotiable.

  • Rounds: The winner of a Round is the Player who's character is shown as the winner on the end screen.
  • Grand Finals: Best 3 of 5 rounds

  • If the timer runs out, the victor is determined first by stock and then by percentage
  • Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (i.e., freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in a forfeit of that match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character, and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effect

For this tournament, you must find a partner and make a team (on challonge) to face another team in a team smash battle. (I say team enough times?)

though tbf it'd be easier if I just added people to the VOP list, and the only way to do that is to type /msg chanserv register [a password] [an email address] WHILE ON RIZON'S SERVERS.
