32 stages so far!

There are 16 stages from different series. If it was like Melee, which had two stages from each of the games (Ex: Pokemon had two stages, stadium and floats), then total up would be 32 stages indirectly announced!

I think that's probably a reasonably safe assumption, if you assume that there's going to be a Wii stage aside the DS stage. I doubt there's going to be another Animal Crossing or Ice Climbers stage, however. I'd like it if there was a stage for every character, plus a few more.

Right now I'm interested to see another Zelda stage.

Dude your logic is flawed in that it is based on so much assumptions. Who says that the stage number for series will be based on character repersentation or that Sakurai just decided to screw that all over and only make stages for each game that would deserve the role. We have 19 stages confirmed if even to that amount (Mario kart and The stadium might not end up being stages). besides this we have nothing.

Dude, except for the one person who said it was stupid (and even then, that was a weak flame if a flame at all), nobody flamed you. Each person who posted in this thread either made a joke (i.e. over 9000!), or gave their idea for what the amount of stages was. Anyone who says you might be wrong or that you logic is flawed, is not flaming you, yet is showing you a different way of thinking that may be more correct. And homelessvagrant was correct on how we cannot surely know how many stages there are, and he said so without attacking you.

I think it's a reasonable assumption for the most part (maybe even three for most series), but I'm sure there will be a number of exceptions for franchises that are less developed.

I'm sorry friend Never did I insult you. However let this be a reminder so that you think hard before you post. We can't all just make a thread becuae we think our opinoin is important. There are threads for this kind of discussion.
