3 minute matches only on with friends mode?

I heard that you can only play matches up to 3 minutes even when your playing with friends on Wi-fi. If this is true then Wi-fi will truly suck.

I was just wondering if friend matches were limited to 3 minutes, and most people would agree wifi would suck if it was limited to 3 mins with friends.

3 minutes is just for recording replays.
With Friends the host could set the rules to whatever they want.
