I want to see what Wade is bringing to the table now that he's not playing while injured.

Multiple waist injuries on a player who relies on driving to the hoop is just a huge handicap.

well, I'm a Nuggets and Kings fan, but at least right now, neither team is looking like serious contenders.

It could easily end up as a Boston/LA rematch in the finals

They're still my favorite team. Dwyane Wade is a very humble person with some very dyslexic parents.

I don't think stern would dare fix the playoffs again. Expect the spurs to make one final push before there time is up.

I'm expecting the Hornets to make some serious noise. They were good last year and now with more maturity and Posey, they could be there in the Western Finals.

I'm praying my Wizards can finally leave the first round, cuz Lebron t-bagging us year after year has gotten on my nerves.

Also, OK City Thunder for the laugh. WNBA name, **** logo, bad team. It will take the NBA about 6 seconds to forget about them. Kinda like how they treat the Raptors, Bobcats, Jazz, Kings. I mean I love watching Lebron/Kobe etc, but can do I have to watch the same 8-9 teams week after week?

I can't see Boston in the Finals again next year...Repeat? No.

I see next year as Laker's year. West is going to be as strong as always. 50+ wins will get you 8th place type of thing.

Other than that, the east is pretty much packed too. Especially now with Elton Brand with the Sixers and Chicago coming in.

In the West, I personally root for the Clippers. Trust me. Its either they come back to the playoffs again or they lose like they've always been. I see them as #7 or #8 this year. Watch out. Don't forget about Portland either.

Wolves all the way!

...ah, I wish. Luckily, since tickets only cost $2 this season, I'm going to a lot of them, living in Minnesota. Kevin Love will be ok I think, but we still should have kept O.J. Mayo. Maybe if Big Al and Randy Foye do even better we can get some love.

Yeah I think we should've kept OJ Mayo.

I'm also rooting for Boston again because I'm a big fan of KG and Ray Allen =]

To be honest, I think Minnesota got the better of the deal. It'll be interesting to see who performs better of the two (Mayo/Love), but the 6 players in the trade are pretty established already.

Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker, and Greg Buckner for Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, and Jason Collins.

I'd rather have Miller over Jaric, Collins over Walker, and I think Buckner/Cardinal is about even. I don't know...it was an interesting trade and will be neat to see how exactly it helps/hurts both teams.

The Wolves wouldn't even be worth to watch besides watching Mayo with his Rookie season.

It'll take them at least 3 years for them to be a playoff contender.

Oklahoma City Thunder? More like:

Umm...that really doesn't make much sense. It's basically "an eye for an eye". Now instead of watching OJ Mayo's rookie season, Minnesota fans get to watch Kevin Love's rookie season. :bee:

I still like the OKC Thundercats.

Please Bulls, don't fail horribly this year.

What was wrong with Oklahoma City Bombers?

Also, I wish Kevin Love woulda stayed in Memphis. That way i could make GayLove jokes every time I saw the Grizzlies play.

i think bombers would be kinda touchy because of the oklahoma city bombings that happened there, you know the one that killed a nursery full of kids.

The Pistons are my favorite teams and I sure hope they at least make the finals this year. Obviously I want them to win it but that's never easy no matter what year it is. It's amazing how they've made the Eastern Conference finals for six straight years. That streak will be alot tougher to hold onto though because of teams like Boston, Cleveland. Orlando, Washington or maybe even a suprise team like the Hornets were last year.

Lol that's an excellent reason to pick the Spurs to win it all. They won in (99, 03, 05, 07). You never know though the Spurs are that one team that has to be on everyone's mind in the West every year. They've created a dynasty.

Can't count out the Lakers though. They've won 3 championships this decade just like the Spurs and have made it to the finals twice and lost.

I'm anxious to see how the Hornets play this year also. Very refreshing for new teams to arrise and then continue to improve.

We already know the West is going to be dominant. I sure hope the East will as well. The NBA is more exciting (as with any sport) when there are a handful of talented teams as oppose to a few.

I wasn't aware they had every considered naming the team that.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=txoklahomacitynickname&prov=st&type=lgns

I had only heard those listed: Bison, Marshalls, Wind, Energy and Barons.

I'm not completley doubting you, but I just hadn't ever heard they were considering that...even as a possibility. I've only heard it used in "jokes".

Do you have a source or anything? I'm actually interested now. :)

Didn't they ALREADY announced this? OKC Thunders.

Anyway, my bet in on the Lakers. This is Lakers' year.

Cleveland Cavaliers.

It has been said for the past 3 or 4 years that once the Cavs have a good point guard that can take the pressure off Lebron, he will reach his full potential. Now that they have Mo Williams, Lebron is going to be scary good...We will all be witnesses.

Theres almost no way that anybody can call the favorites for the west. Golden State had 48 wins, and they didnt even make the playoffs! With that record, they would've had the #4 seed in the leastern conference. Granted, that was last year and both conferences have stacked up since. If everyone from every team in the west stays healthy this year, we can easily see 11 teams pushing another 50-win season for us.

And it's already been announced as OKC Thunder lol

EDIT: Wow, didnt see my other post. I just disagreed with myself. Im lame.
