I'm forming a gaming clan.

Since I don't play Brawl much yet wanna include myself, then I reckon it's going to be a gaming clan for other games than Brawl.

We're going by the name Suburban Knights and generally being a fun/casual clan more than one who take things too serious.

I successfully ran a clan for 1 year and at one point we had 40+ active members and we were ranked #18 (out of like 140) in the Brawl Clan ranking site. I installed a hit counter about mid way through its life and I have as of today 20, 327 hits.

To run a clan you have to do the following:

#1 You need to be respected by people in the clan. It is a must!
I done this by making a very christian image of myself. The atheists respected my views and the others questioned me a lot. It eventually got to where people came to me with their problems.

#2 You need to have a relationship with every member.
Make out a PM to each new member. Ask them to Brawl, joke with them about something and make them feel welcome.
This also goes towards building up respect.

#3 You need an awesome site. Plain and simple... everyone hates a gay looking site. -_-
All I can say now is that the BG is way to plain and gray and the banner is way to bright to work with that BG.
Also add an arcade, photo gallery, movie gallery, xat (best chat room ever made), music player (go with dizzler BTW... it is as awesome as itunes) and anything else that people may want.
Also let others help decide what the site should look like. Your not the only one viewing it ya know.

#4 Your word is final. Let others have power and every should have a vote, but when things get some what ugly you need to maintain control and peace. Luckily if you have respect people wont want to anger you.

#5 Focus more on a few games instead of just games in general cuz no one will have something in common. I had Pokemon D/P/Pl, SSBB and MKW. I only participated in SSBB though.


Other than that just be cool, joke and as I said.. gain respect. respect= the most important thing to running something... other than good character/morals
