Why? - It's just GOT to happen. The rivalry needs to be settled, forget polevaults, handbags at dawn is where it's at. I'm sure fans of both mascots are just dying for the announcement

2. Bomberman
Hudson has been faithful with lotsa titles on the Wii download service. And Bomberman himself has appeared on too many Nintendo consoles to date, make it happen, include him, he'd have a great moveset.

3. Waluigi
Well, we've seen Wario, but seeing as Waluigi is becoming a star in his own right, it's about time he got a chance to duke it out. He's my favourite Mario villain, I've just gotta see a CPU battle of Mario Bros. V Wario Bros.

4. Dedede
Come on, he's got to be in it, I'm betting he is. He could utilize his hammer/eating attacks and be a more complex Kirby.
We're getting MK, but Dedede was there first, he's the big one, No doubt he'll be unlockable

5. Stafy
Cute li'l Stafy. I've never played a Stafy game, and you'll know why. They're Japanese only games, but have got praise from Western fans too. Like they did with Marth and Roy, using Stafy to represent the series and get a cult could mean Legend of Stafy coming to here.

6. Ridley
It's also one i'm expecting, the rumours are already flying around, i'll be shocked if a main and recognisable Metroid villain doesn't appear. Ridley fits that space

7. Diddy
Donkey is known for his many Mario Kart/Sport/Party appearances, but he also appeared in his own games, Diddy needs to give him some assistance by joining the DK reps.

8. Bowser Jr.
First appearing in SMS on the Cube, he's got quite a fanbase as Bowser's mischevious son and Mario's doppelganger. Some sort of moveset using Gadd's paintbrush/Bowser-esque attacks could work well.

9. Megaman
Well, he's got a pretty good chance of appearing, i'd lke him to. Not too bothered if he doesn't

10. Midna
Oh c'mon, she's Twilight Princess' titular character, she's cool, classy, dark, mysterious. She's a favoured character, I think she's appearing.

Some of these may be likely and some may have no chance.
1) Isaac from Golden Sun (or Felix) - Felix would be great too, but I prefer Isaac.

2) Sheba from Golden Sun (or Mia, or Jenna) - I'd prefer Sheba or Mia over Jenna because there are enough characters with fire attacks in SSB already, but not much in the way of wind/lightning or water/ice. For both GS characters, they have both physical and magic attacks, along with elemental summons and weapon unleashes. That's a lot the SSBB team could work with.

3) Banjo & Kazooie - There's no shot, but they would be absolutely perfect for the game. It's a shame they won't make it in.

4) Captain Olimar from Pikmin - I don't doubt he'll make it in, and he'll certainly have a fun moveset.

5) Bomberman - The classic deathmatch-style games are fun, but the first Bomberman 64 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I'd love to see some representation from that game specifically, such as Regulus (who was also in B64:2) as an AT. Is is iconic and would fit well with the other characters. He's also appeared with Wario in a game before, too.

6) Raine from Tales of Symphonia - She also has no chance, but ToS is one of my favorite games of all time. I wouldn't really want Lloyd in, because he doesn't appeal to me enough (although the team could give him an awesome moveset). Colette doesn't appeal to me enough either. Sheena could be fun, but I can't see her as a suitable rep for the game, and I think some of the other characters have more potential for movesets. As for Kratos or Zelos (my usual main in the game), I'd rather have a Golden Sun character take the magic swordsman role, but if there was room for them, either could have a great, unique moveset. Presea, Genis, and Regal wouldn't fit well-enough as representatives of the series. Raine is smart, strong, and capable. She may be the party's healer, but she has strong magic of her own and doesn't hesitate to slap people in the face or kick them (hard) when they're down. She also has one of the more important roles in the game (Raine, Kratos, and Colette were supposed to be the only ones on the world regeneration journey; Lloyd and Genis more-or-less tagged along).

7) Sonic - I'd love the SSBB team to take Sonic and actually make a game he's in fun. He has lots of potential, but he just hasn't shown it in his last few games. I miss when enjoying Sonic games didn't require having to overlook serious gameplay flaws.

8) Ridley from Metroid - Ridley is the most deserving additional rep for the Metroid series. I'd rather have Ridley than Zero Suit Samus as an additional rep in Brawl (actually, I'd prefer to not have Zamus in the game at all).

9) Megaman - He'd be a great third-party rep and would fit well in the game.

10) Sheik from The Legend of Zelda- Eh, why not? I'd like to see the team strike a good balance between Zelda and Sheik so that switching regularly between the two is a viable tactic.

[Dark Shard]

1) Ike - He will not be a main in two very popular FE games, he is unique, has his golden sword, Ragnel which is full of possibilities for him.

2) FE's Black Knight - He's awsome, and the perfect villain in all of FE. If you were to choose one, he really would be THE one. His chances are low, but he would perfectly complement Ike, and his Dark sword Alundite would surely make an interstingly powerful character.

3) Lyn - I know. She's unpopular. But, for obvious reasons, I want her in.

4) Hector - Yes, yes, I know, waaaay too many FE chars, I'm not asking fo all, just some. IMO, Smash needs an axer, and he fits.

5) Krystal - A cool fox char, bringing magic, and a female car.

6) Wolf - The long rivalry must be settled on here. They would make awsome... I'm not going to say "clones", but counter characters?

7) Sonic

9) WW Link - would fill the YL slot nicely, and staring in several games now, this very unique Link needs some recognition

10) Leon Scott Kenedy - RE4 kicked, and was considered GC's BEST(heh, that's smash ur talkin about...) game. He would be kinda unexpected, cool, and really fun to play.

Are we supposed to stay realistic, or not?

Either way, the top of my list is:

1-Midna, Twilight Princess. The Twilight Princess herself, and my favorite character in ages. If she's not in, I'll go berserk.
2- Ridley, almost every single Metroid. He's a pirate dragon... in space. And sometimes also a cyborg. He's nearly all the equation of awesome just by himself.

And after that... if I'm allowed one or two unrealistic choices....

3- Zero, Megaman X, Megaman Zero. Yeah, I know, if someone from Capcom is in, it'll be the blue bomber himself. However, I like Zero, especially the new MMZ one, much better than Rock.
4- Gardevoir, Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire. She's actually not that farfetched, and a dancing fighter would be nice to play as.
5- Lady Lindis, Fire Emblem. Lyndis > Ike + Marth + (insert another non-Erk FE character here)
6- Cell-shaded Link, Wind Waker, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass. I don't think I have to explain this one. Young Link is the most important Link in the saga, and cellshaded Link is the best rendition of him up to now, IMO.
7 - Any Tales of Symphonia character. I'd prefer Presea, but anyone except Zelos would do.
8 - King Dedede. He's pretty much confirmed, and I like that. He is, after all, an egocentric, eccentric hammer-wielding penguin with a hammer. And a crown.

And since having just four or five of the previous ones would already be much more than enough and actually make me start jumping around in joy, I'm letting the next person have my last two charslots, I don't need anything else

Well since this is the Brawl Character Discussion, here are my top picks for who I'd like to see or play as in Brawl. First three aren't really in any particular order, I'm indecisive about those three. But I'd love to see these characters make it as playable.

1. Lucario -- Definately worthy of Brawl and one of my top 4th generation faves.
2. Wolf O' Donnell -- What better to have for Fox's rival than the best Starfox villian ever.
3. Zant -- Crazy, unique and the villian of TP. Has the type of humor that Smash is famous for.
4. Midna -- The star of Twilight Princess and a great character, how could they not include her.
5. Krystal -- Need more female representatives, for Starfox what better to have than Krystal.
6. WW Link -- He may be a Link incarnation, but he's much different than the others...
7. King Dedede -- Mallet-weilding Penguin anyone? He's practically a shoe-in for Brawl.
8. Ridley -- May take some extra work for him, but Metriod needs more representation.
9. Ike -- Known well worldwide. Though I might be sad if he replaces Marth.
