I mean, it does, unless you count the VS mode as single-player content.

You have Classic Modes, which you run once
It has WoL, which you run once
It has Multi-Man Melee, which you run once
It has home-run contest, which you run when you feel like it
And Spirit Battles
And that's it.

If you factor in online as a single-player content, since it's 1v1, then sure, it effectively has infinite content, but for PVE content? It's incredibly lacking.

that's at least 40 hours of single player content you just described right there.

40 hours seems extremely generous. Multi-Man melee takes like 2~minutes on average, and then the other two(Classic/WoL) can be set on the easiest difficulties and blitz'd through without any issue. Hell, my World of Light play file on Normal mode says like, 7 hours, and that's when the game just came out.

I think a big issue with Ultimate is that they ****ed up All-Star Mode, badly. The mode is just not anywhere near as fun as it used to be. I've got no real love for things like Trophies or Target Test, but they destroyed All-Star Mode and just made it a worse Multi-Man Melee.

And World of Light is boring. I'm sorry, but it is. You do it once, never do it again.

I mean, I found it on this site which may have a bit of a margin of error but it's usually accurate:
How long is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? | HowLongToBeat

It has at least 20 hours for the main story alone, not even extras. That's a lot. Sure the gameplay is a bit repetitive but it's still a lot of single player content especially because the game is mostly meant for multiplayer. Plus, other big fighting games like Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5 or Soulcalibur 6 have a lot less content.
