take a beloved silly cartoon and make it appeal to the exact opposite audience while alienating fans of the original.

Scooby Doo being milked dry aside, I have a feeling that they're only doing a Velma show so they can bait the LGBT audience into watching it after the recent confirmation of Velma being a lesbian... which I mean, I'm all for LGBT representation, but when used in this context I can't help but be skeptical about it. Maybe it'll be great, I don't know... we'll see soon enough.
