Personally I really like being able to undock my Switch and take it with me to work to play on mh lunch break.

Hardware isn't always about how powerful as system is. There needs to be different options for there to be healthy competition in the industry.

I wouldn't mind them releasing some games multi-plat but frankly? I wouldn't want them to go third party and ditch hardware. The Switch is the cheapest system on the market and has the games and features I want. No way in Hell would I want to spend $500+ on a PS5 or Xbox just to play Nintendo titles and now have a giant ass console I can't take with me anywhere. Sure, if they went to PC also then I guess I'd be fine but I don't think I want that either.

However games like Mario Party, Mario Kart or other big multi-player games that could work as cross plat games? Sure. Do it up.

They're the richest company in Japan and the Switch isn't slowing in global sales momentum at all, I don't think going 3rd party would make any sense right now.

I mean, yeah, having Nintendo games on PC would be a dream for me, but when you consider it taking out another competitor to the console market and getting rid of half of what makes Nintendo interesting (their unique approach to hardware), I think it would be a pretty sad thing to happen, IMHO.
