Twitter is always angry over anything Smash Bros related and Reddit is more of the same but with even more games.

I would be shocked if people in both places liked a Smash Newcomer for once.

I did a thread explaining why i'm angry/salty at steve is not him or his series is what he represents Viral Games or mainstream games(Fortnite, Apex, Overwatch, League of Legends, Player's Unknown Battle Ground) now that he's in Nintendo will look at meme characters instead of ones that are way more cooler in this case Nintendo will look not at popularity instead of those games making money for the porpuse of collabs.

Here comes FORTNITE, fortnite recently made a impossible collab between MARVEL AND DC, Steve has given Fortnite Jonesy a solid chance of ever getting into smash instead of characters like Dante, Sora, Kos-Mos, Master Cheif or even Goku etc.

In the next coming days you will start seeing specially the fortnite community entering a euphoria state of hype that they will flood streams or everywhere nintendo smash related asking for Jonesy, its a living nightmare.

^Or, you can realize that Minecraft isn't a 'meme game' and is not only the best selling game of all time, but is extremely influential to gaming as a whole. Like, newsflash. The kids who grew up on Minecraft are probably in their early 20's now.

I also think the thought of "Because Steve in Smash = Jonesy" is laughable. One does not equate to the other. Could Jonesy get in? Sure, but not because Steve got in. Steve getting in is due to Minecraft being a global phenomenon.

Fortnite done the impossible they collab with DC AND MARVEL, that's legendery status of course i would say its influential, it dose not matter if this is a steve effect or not nintendo will now look at fortnite in the spotlight and that right there is more reason to be salty/angry at this inclusion because of communities, specially Fortnite.

And? If it happens, then don't buy it. If it kills you that much, just don't buy the character. If you bought the pass ahead of time in full, what did Sakurai tell you back in November 2018? "Only buy it if you're 100% confident".


I'm sorry, I'm gonna be 30 next year so I'll be a certified "Boomer" to all the Fortnite kids, and I see nothing wrong with Fortnite. Do I think Fortnite is likely? Not really, but if it happens... oh well?

Well, you're allowed to have that viewpoint. Likewise, I'm going to look at the game for what it is, the best selling game of all time, beating out Tetris.
