I still find it genuinely confusing when people defend the practice of withholding media from one country to another based on things like licensing agreements or whatever. It genuinely seems like the kind of rare thing where everyone would at minimum agree on it being a bit of a headache, but the amount of people out there like "you have no right to watch it in your country! Don't you have your own media to consume? Respect Company's licensing agreements!!" is genuinely just baffling to me.

Not helped when people start saying that withholding a product is a marketing strategy and therefore should be respected... what the hell kind of marketing strategy doesn't let you buy the product? I'm pretty sure people said this about Seiken Densetsu 3 when it was finally being announced as a part of the Mana collection - nobody would have cared about it if it wasn't already being emulated with a translation patch for nearly 25 years before then.
