I think the old Geno threads were very brash and irresponsible, and the charity scheme still is really icky, but I've kinda come to see them more as victims of Smash's hype marketing than some cult. If I was smarter at the time, I would've absolutely shot an email or two to a few press sites about the fallout to finally get Smash the hot seat it needs in the hype culture debate.
