TV shows and movies are different though - not all TV shows have magical elements or action, while most video games (even realistic and/or non-violent simulation titles) have some kind of magical power, even if it's non-digetic like Villager's hammerspace - the "straight man" character archetype - the character who just reacts to and helps others, content with their dull life otherwise, and, while skilled, is outclassed in their hobbies by a close friend - doesn't really exist in games outside of licensed titles based on shows about straight men (and when it does, it's as a side character!). Given that the whole point of a straight man is to be ordinary and relatable, and in some cases a role model, I don't think there's much going for them moveset-wise unless that ordinariness is played up as a joke.
