    Using Fire-Bird...

Not saying it's viable, but I sometimes use its distance when I'm very close to up-b through shields. This leads into several whiffs as I pass quite a considerable distance and the person thinks they have enough range to punish. It's payoff is poor but passable if it does hit (you'd be safe) but...

    Marth Match-Up Discussion (Update: ZSS!)

Pit seems to be better in this matchup, as he has his projectiles and has his extremely good recovery options. Also, with his jumps and recovery, he usually can go for gimps without hesitation. Ground game solely on attacks seems to go either way. Our tilt ranges are similar, but if he attempts...

    Aether Spike

Well, when the downswing in Aether starts up (when the blades goes from spinning to Ike grabbing it and slashing downward), it spikes the caught opponent so Ike can follow through with the final slash where he comes down. However, if you miss that final slash when he hits the ground, they still...

How the heck do you approach?

I mean, you were in a jump, but if you stayed on the ground, I would have most definitely whiffed. I suppose my poor timing with the SB worked out that time. ^^ hehe

How the heck do you approach?

My approaches consist of retreating f-airs (short hop f-airing then pulling back into safe distance) and running up or jumping into dancing blades (I mix up the combos). You can follow up nicely on the retreating f-airs as you have enough distance to keep you away while an opponent rushes you...

    Punishing Rolls?

I guess I'll have to try DB out as well. Now that I think about it, it keeps one safe if they decide to attack out of roll so that seems optimal for the people I'm playing. ^^ I'll be sure try those other strats as well. Thanks for the response. C:

    Punishing Rolls?

I mean, I do turn my FSmash around to attack where they're rolling to (behind me) but I seem to be either too early or too late on the attack. Oh, the tip about attacking where they're rolling to has helped me more easily visualize where to focus my attacks if I do see the pattern in the rolls...

    Punishing Rolls?

I've seen in my improving group of friends rolls being used in what I believe is excess. I've cast away this notion as I've seen how effective being ablefooted and using rolls at the correct time is, although even with this advantage, I can't seem to catch them on rolls despite how predictable...

Maximizing Ike's damage on the edge.

I believe the walk off b-air literally means walking off stage and b-airing someone as they're already near the ledge, trying to recover. Of course, you would use the left over jump to help you get back on stage. Also, I'm assuming that would stage spike on stages with almost 45 degree edges. I...

How should I be edgeguarding with Ike?

I usually go b-air on high recoveries and f-air if I'm going low and relatively deep off stage. People don't usually expect the double jump b-air considering Ike's weight. Aether has it's place for swatting down attempts of high recoveries as well. Also, with the active attack time of f-air, a...

Up for some Ike Mirror Matches?

I'm good for anytime today. Just say the word and I'll be on.

Up for some Ike Mirror Matches?

I've been practicing Ike in 3DS and would like to see how I'd go against another Ike. By mirror matching, I'm sure I'd learn something from the other that I could could take to other fights as well. I feel like I'm not using the best judgement with recovery options. Also, I feel like I keep...
