Versus Gaming Brawl & Smash 4 Monthlies: 12/20/14

I see PM in the comments, but not the first post in the rules. Is there going to be PM tomorrow?

What Ness Color/Costume do you use?

Does anyone besides me think that black/red flannel Ness is now the coolest? I forsook my name to wear it but it's too damn stylish.

Say "Fuzzy Pickles." Ness Video/Critique Thread

You looked pretty solid, I would say that apart from the usual tech stuff (wavedashing, wwavelanding, L cancelling, SHFFL, etc.) the main points I would say are utilizing the magnet more offensively for approaches and combo extensions. Another is not using as many grounded PK Fires especially...

Hey y'all what do you think of 3.5 Ness? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWGoCjXXkhU

Ivysaur: how to play with him and what are some good combos?

I recently found a combo that I think works fairly well. On most character at mid and low-high percents for fast fallers you can u-throw>short hop u-air>short hop up-b pretty consistently. I found it against comps and it works about 100% of the time on them and when I tried it against real...

Is it possible for Ness to sweet spot on specific stages?

Hey y'all I've been maiming Ness for over a year now and I honestly have never been able to sweet spot his recovery from below at certain angles and stages. Is it possible to sweet spot on stages without walls like FD, Smashville, Lylat, and the like? Also even on stages with walls is it...

3.5 Blog Post Buffs to PKT1 and the Community Reaction

I think they tried to fix it in 3.0 because it doesn't happen as often as in 2.6, but I'd really like a full fix.

3.5 Blog Post Buffs to PKT1 and the Community Reaction

My last tournament in loser's semis I lost two my last two games because of PKT1. The first time was when the PKT came out the opposite way of my joystick and the other game my PKT hit Kirby and sent me falling to my doom

Who is harder? Ness or Ivysaur?

That's really interesting, if you head over to the group match up thread in the Ness character discussion the consensus was 65:35 in Marth's favor.

Who is harder? Ness or Ivysaur?

Hey y'all I play against a pretty good Marth pretty regularly and I play Ness and Ivysaur. I know Marth has a favorable match up against both of them, but I was wondering which character Marth has a harder time with.

3.5 Blog Post Buffs to PKT1 and the Community Reaction

I agree completely, I just was looking at the comments on the blog post and was overwhelmed by the adverse reaction by non-Ness mains complaining about the buff. Also I'm excited for 3.5, from what I've seen y'all have been putting great things into the game.

In this current iteration of the game, how viable do you think Ness is?

I agree there are many pitfalls to Ness' game and there are a few things that could be tweaked to increase his tournament viability. However, I think these tweaks should be slowly adjusted based on the fact that despite Ness not being S Tier a lot people think he's broken (mostly people who...

3.5 Blog Post Buffs to PKT1 and the Community Reaction

http://projectmgame.com/en/news/dev-blogpost-9-yoshis-island-brawl I don't know about y'all but I'm super excited about PKT1 not being eaten by stage hazards anymore. I think it was an unnecessary pitfall to Ness' recovery game that I can assume all of us have had a salty loss because of it...

    Project M Blog Post #9 - Yoshi's Island: Brawl

PK Fire isn't all that great if it activates on shield and you know how to respond. If you are in shield in PK Fire you can just C-stick buffer roll out painlessly. Also if you get caught in PK Fire you can SDI out fairly easy as well. PK Fire is only OP as a gimmick when people either don't...
