What time would I need to be there for the singles tourney?

Gonna be playing against a really good ROB in a friendly tournament, but I'd still like to win, or at least put up a good fight. I don't get to play this matchup often so I'm not as familiar with it.

Has anybody put any more effort into applying this usefully into tactics? I've tried messing around with it but can't seem to find a really good use for it.

I played MGS before Smash Bros was even around. MGS was great, MGS2 was still pretty good, and MGS3 is either my 2nd or 3rd favorite game ever. I still need to play MGS4, and I haven't played the PSP games. I beat the original MG, but MG2 was a lot tougher and I never got around to beating it.
