Ah, that's too bad. I'm sure this will make a lot of people happy, but I never liked Kingdom Hearts. Character designs are just too wack 2000s for me. I'm glad that we got more Splatoon stuff, though! Better luck next time for Reimu.

I think Sakurai probably just did a more detailed tweet for the Japanese audience because he's more comfortable writing in Japanese. I wouldn't read too much into it.

AW as the last DLC would be fantastic for AW, but the series just feels too niche for Nintendo to be comfortable slotting it in as DLC. I hope I'm wrong, though!

I have a lot of respect for the people who recognized that it was AW solely based off of the movement sound and capture stomp sound while the screen was still black, haha. Those are the real OGs.

I saw this sentiment a lot, but as the guy who ran the Sami thread for SSB4, I never really agreed with it, to be honest. MGS and AW are two very different series. Slapping a MGS moveset onto Sami just wouldn't capture the essence of Advance Wars in the way Sakurai tries to do with Smash...

I'm still pretty optimistic about Reboot Camp's prospects, if it's a well-made, well-polished remake. Word of mouth spreads much faster and more effectively in 2021 than it did in 2005. Given that we already know the gameplay side of AW1/AW2 is excellent, if the technical and aesthetic execution...

There will definitely be some more marketing, but there probably won't be another Direct between now and the AW launch, so it's a bummer for sure. There isn't much to show those of us posting here that we wouldn't already know, but there is a lot to show the people who haven't actually played...

We'll just have to hope that there'll be more soon, I suppose. Assuming the release timeline holds, there pretty much has to be.

Yup, it's quite irritating. Nintendo not giving a crap about AW is hardly surprising, but the least they could do is allow Wayforward to talk about it if they don't want to talk about it themselves. I am sure WF would be happy to.
