And it's not really that far to say that MW2 outsold Halo 3 on launch day because it's available on more than one console/platform.

Btw, the title to the thread is wrong.

MW2 merely outsold Halo 3 on launch day. MW2 sold 4.7 million in the US/UK within the first 24 hours (not counting any other countries, they will release worldwide numbers later this week) while Halo 3 only sold 5.7 million within the first 2 weeks of release.

MW2 did however, reach a new milestone on Xbox LIVE. It got over 2 million players to connect while Halo 3 only got over 1 million.

I haven't tried multi-player yet. I want to beat the campaign, spec ops mode then start playing online.

LMAO I just read that all of the players who recently got banned from Xbox LIVE have filed a class action lawsuit against Microsoft. They're also threatening to buy PS3's.

Who in their right minds would agree to represent them? Only an idiot lawyer who enjoys losing lawsuits. The judge will most likely throw the case/drop the case in order to save time and money.

I wish my parents/other family members gave me consoles.

I had to buy my 360 with my own money. It cost me a total of about $550 in 2007. But it was worth it, got to play all the hit titles that I wanted to play. I'm rocking the old and discontinued 20 GB Xbox 360 Pro console. :D

Do you have any siblings? If so, do they play video games? I'm asking cause you said stuff like "my Wii" and "my 360" so I'm assuming you're an only child?

I have 3 other brothers but only 1 of them play video games. I'm the second oldest while he's the oldest. He plays 360 sometimes. I play the most video games in my household.

And yeah mine is too. I was disappointed in Brawl because IMO they 'noobified it'. (as in they had to appeal to the noobs who sucked at SSBM so they removed all of the advanced techniques like wave-dashing, SSFLing etc.)

And I played some spec ops mode last night with my brother and let me say that it's a lot of fun. I love the mission where one player is flying in the air in a AC-130 and has to support the other player who's on the ground.

No, not yet. So far I find CoD4's campaign storyline much easier to understand than MW2. Once I beat MW2, I plan to play it again and try to understand what's going on.

And yeah 'All Ghilled Up' was a pretty good mission in CoD4. Was that your favorite mission? Mine was the 'Mile High Club' mission. (not on veteran tho)

Well, I'm currently playing it on normal mode and boy is it hard! I hate seeing blood (I call it gatorade/koolaid) on my screen everytime I get shot at. I prefer the old system in CoD4 where the sides of the screen goes red for several seconds.

Which mission would that be? Are you talking about the 3rd mission where you and McTavish need to infiltrate this russian base and retrieve these things? It takes place during a snow storm so you can't see the enemies and they can't see you. Thankfully you have the heartbeat sensor on your gun so it's all good. I love sneaking around in the snow storm.

But yeah, so far I'm confused on the campaign. I don't know why I'm there and what I'm doing. I just go with the flow. :/

Nah it's no problem. The real fun will be had on the multiplayer. We both need to make sure that we maintain at least 2/1 K/D's this time.

Oh and have you seen the Chopper Gunner killstreak in action? It's even worse than the AC130, because it lasts longer. It looks like a terribly broken killstreak award. If the opposing team doesn't have any anti-air equipment, then you are guaranteed at least 10-15 kills. It's that bad.

The story is a bit confusing tbh in MW2. I'm sitting here saying "huh? why am i here?". I just finished the mission where you have to massacre the innocent civilians in the airport. You don't get an achievement for completing the mission because they don't want to punish players who have some moral issues and find that mission 'controversial'.

I just finished playing the first 4 missions of the game. And let me tell you that MW2 IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I couldn't wait till Friday so I went to the Gamestop near my school and bought myself a copy of MW2.

IW will either reset the leaderboards immediately (as in sometime today) or sometime shortly afterwards. And they are only punishing players who obtained a copy of the game illegally. If your store broke the street date, but you still obtained a legal copy of MW2, you will not be punished/resetted.

Btw, how you holding up? I'm sitting in class right now thinking about MW2. My default answer to any questions asked to me are "what does this have to do with MW2?"

I can't wait till Friday morning when I pick up my copy!

Ok, to be honest IW is really starting to piss me off right now. I just read an article (not official but pretty much confirmed) on which playlists where you can be in a party chat.

This is utter BS. Only 3 playlists? Why not TDM? Fine, I can understand SnD and the hardcore playlists but why the other ones??? >

Also, IW has already said that they will be resetting the MW2 leaderboards and banning those players on it. (unless they somehow got a legit copy early. i.e. their game retailer store accidently/purposely broke the street date and sold it to them) Trust me, Microsoft can tell (maybe by the dvd's serial number or something? I dunno.) if you bought a legit copy or if you illegally downloaded it and are playing it on your modded 360 console.

<3 Microsoft. IMO, they should do a ban wave every month.
