Questions on How to Backwards F-Air

A sweet spotted Bair has a stronger hitbox then Fair, though it can be hard to hit in a pinch based on how the hitbox is located.

    Questions about reactionary tech-chases

Hey, I've been absent from SmashBoards for a bit so sorry for the late reply here. Thanks for the help guys, in the past week I've been putting in work in the lab. I tried both watching the Fox animation and watching the screen move/shake but that wasn't doing it for me. However, for me the...

    Questions about reactionary tech-chases

So I've been practicing d-throw tech chases against Fox and Falco for a bit now in 20XX. In tournament sets it's been able to translate pretty well and I don't often miss the reaction on teching to the right or left. I run into problems, however, with teching in place (and most of the time...

    Smashers close to Chester, Virginia.

I'm actually going to start a weekly fest in Hopewell. I'll post some information here when it's more set in stone but it's going to be either Tuesday or Thursday nights. We had one a week ago and had 7 people show up so there's definitely a lot of interest.

If either of you are okay with traveling to Hopewell (about/20 minutes south of Richmond), I have a great venue and we can get a fest going sometime? Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best but any time will work.

    Smashers close to Chester, Virginia.

It's a bit of a late reply but I live in Chester. I'm always having to travel to Midlothian and Charlottesville to fest but I'm looking for people closer by. If you ever want to play melee/PM give me a heads up. There is a public tabletop game store I always have as a venue so nobody will think...

[Apr 10, 2015] RVA's Rivertown Rumble (Richmond, VA)

We used to get between 25-30 people pretty regularly but the OP hasn't been updated yet. The TO still is taking a hiatus with the tournament and it won't fire off for a little while. I'll see if I can't get him to fix that. The title auto-updates, or so I'm told.

[Apr 10, 2015] RVA's Rivertown Rumble (Richmond, VA)

We'd definitely love to have you come. The tournament has taken a brief hiatus I believe until everyone gets settled into the new school semester. I'm sure that they'll post when they're ready to start back up. On the other note, play for fun! The only way to get better is to put yourself out...

    Tier List Speculation

I'm not the expert on Marth but when I used to play him a bit it felt really in Marth's favor. It may have just been my personal experience with the MU but I always felt that it's really easy to both win in the neutral and edge guard Ganon. His punishes might be pretty robust but if you keep...

    Tier List Speculation

I know that there is a grassroots PM side tourney at Apex. I'm not sure of all the details but, depending on how popular it ends up being, it could be used as a proxy major for results.

What if I just LIKE to Wavedash/Waveland, etc?

I know that you just play casually but maybe give l-cancelling a try. When I first picked it up I was amazed how quickly I started being able to move my character around the stage during play. If you enjoy the feeling of having freedom of movement, I definitely got that when I learned.

    Tier List Speculation

People may have already talked about it and I missed it but I was under the impression that Falco was suffering a bit as of the last patch? At least in comparison to the other spacies, most lists I've seen have him around medium-high.

People are worried about Project M dying, what do you think?

I don't think that the game is going to die any time soon. If PM was at Apex this year it would have been huge but I think that we should still look at Nintendo's interest as a good thing. There will still be majors that host PM besides just Apex.

Need help deciding if I should main Marth or Sheik

    It's subjective, haha

Is there much use on vanishing to ledge?

It's not super useful since it's slower than RNC. It might have the really situational use but it's pretty sparse.
