Mario_and_Sonic_Guy pretty much answered for me, but I was basically saying be patient, Rock Smash, Dodge/Shield, Rock Smash, Dodge/Shield etc. until dead. Knowing when the armor is active helps in case you goof a little.

Basically what Biggles, Phenomiracle and KingTeo said in their posts. Nayru's Love also has a bit of invincibility so even if they are already in the process of doing their grab animation you'll eat right through it. I learned that the hard way when I was facing DarkM of The Odo Faction.
