I just use the c-stick for tilts, less room for error. Using the c-stick for tilts instead of smashes lets you keep full directional control with aerial attacks done with the c-stick, whereas when it's set to Smash it messes with your trajectory because of the charging behavior. Tilt-stick best...

If you hold left on the control pad as the Results Screen comes up, you can force the "Teleport In" victory pose, so I always combine the Teleport Out taunt with the Teleport In victory so it looks like he teleported to the victor screen.

It's the priority that kills me. With both ness and lucas, the high priority charcters gove me trouble.

Well if you never use L, set THAT to jump. Just do the same I said before, but with L.

I used Cpt. Falcon back then. I didn't SHFFL or Wavedash or anything, but shorthop knee was deadly anyway.

Basically what Pow said. I too, use R for my jump. You press R and a split second later use PKFire. What I did was, I went on FD, and did it over and over again, until I could do it consistently.

Well I've fially gotten the hang of ZapJumping, and that's a real lifesaver. Why wouldn't you want to have the second best vertical recovery in the game by using a very simple trick? In Melee, all those ATs took quite some time to learn and I never really bothered, but Lucas' tricks are easy...

I know I'm good but I don't know how good because I have no players around me. I consistently win With Anyone, and thouroughly defeat my friends, but I'm sure I'm not the best, or even close. Man I need a tourney round here, really badly.

Well I liked Ness enough to pick up Earthbound, I think that interest in Lucas will cause interest in Earthbound as being in the same series. Of course, I tend to check out these old games wether the character is good or not.
