    Up-air through Battlefield Ledge

Neat trick worth knowing - Samus uair works through the stage on Battlefield. You can drop from ledge > jump into Uair through stage > UP + B back to ledge or airdodge + grapple if you're feeling saucy. I've used this a few times in Netplay now, seems to catch people off guard (crouching...

    Samus Tech

Serious answer because the discussion mostly seems to be whether SWD is viable or not 1. Don't use a standing grapple, pivot and dash grab. Samus is one of the few characters who's dash grab is much quicker than the standing grapple, so dashing is the least punishable. 2. Missile cancel - Easy...

    Universally hated.

Are people salty at you after playing? Are they frustrated by their lack of matchup knowledge? Do they counterpick annoying characters like Puff or Peach? Do they call effective missile use 'spammy'? Is a good Samus as cancerous to VS as Puff? Perfectly spaced tilts, well timed Dairs and...

    Recovering from above

Not sure how to ground myself when i'm recovering from above. Currently I try to mess with the opponents timing with fast fall nairs or dairs, but this rarely works in my favor against veteran players. Bomb jumping in 'random' spots seems to do the trick sometimes too, but I've had mixed...

    Viability of Bombs

I use bombs a lot, personally. Bombs are great for me - Excellent for stalling midair when they're below and forces them to stay grounded while you recover. Also great for edge guarding, https://gfycat.com/FlashyShamelessBorzoi - there's almost always time to drop at least one before setting...

New Samus Tech? Platform Missile Cancel Shield Drop (PMCSD)

Ah there you go, no worries. Didn't know about the "Shai" drop

New Samus Tech? Platform Missile Cancel Shield Drop (PMCSD)

I really don't know how useful this is, because it's hard to do too - You have to be frame perfect pretty much. I was playing with missiles and found if you Missile Cancel on Platform > Shield > Down you will pretty much pass straight through the platform while shooting a missile. It's kind of...

Does anyone else never fully charge their beam?

That's exactly it though, if you're flashing, you can expect a shine or powershield as soon as there's the slightest opportunity for a charge shot. Opponents get comfy if you don't do a full charge. Try it once

Does anyone else never fully charge their beam?

I hardly ever charge mine up all the way, I usually cancel it around 80-90%, just a few frames before it finishes - I find opponents forget about it quickly and because you're not flashing, it's an option they don't expect a lot of the time.

    Up Smash Edge Guard

I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. Not sure if i've discovered it, or everyone knows about it and just doesn't mention it, but thought i'd document it for other newbies like me. Ness' up-smash is an awesome edge guard, as it can be dangled and charged over the edge of any...

    Active Ness Mains

I don't have a computer good enough for it just yet - But I am getting it sorted in the next week or so. I'm only just starting out, but I played Yesterday with Jamwa which was mad!
