    For the Wii U version I assume considering you mention USB. Unfortunately, the way the game is designed is that patch data and save file information are separated. When you update your game, it places a patch into your internal file system on the Wii U and then when you boot the game, the patch...

    Replays - Deleting Update Data

    If you have updated your game, deleting the update data will cause your game to give a "data is missing, please reinstall the update data" and return you back to the home menu.
