I think Captain Toad will help Toad get into Smash, but that Toad might not be Captain Toad specifically. Captain Toad might just be a costume for a generic Toad character.

Considering what Sakurai said about Doc as a costume in Smash 4, I don't see him becoming a costume now.

The E3 reveals were all horrible, except for Palutena who was decent at best. Miis are frankly worse than I could of imagined in terms of how they work, and Pac-Man appears to be in all reality a bland choice who will probably replace the more interesting Snake. WFT isn't an unique character...

Another thing: If this is outdated information, did they already have the E3 reveals planned out?

The only plausible scenario for this is Ness and Lucas are both halfway through development, but at that point there's no way this would be releasing as soon as it is.

As far as I'm aware, this leak was dead as soon as he said they still were trying to decide on a character.
