    Fox Bidou Advantages and Disadvantages

sh-(x)air inputs in general aren't actually difficult on Bidou, as it just requires you to flick both R and R2 in rapid succession -- extremely easily done on the pro controller. NOT recommended on the partial-bidou Gamecube setups I've seen around, as the fatty shoulder buttons prevents the...

    Pokkén Tournament Pokken Meta

On one hand, sure, the difference is only a few points' worth of difference. On the other hand, from what we saw at FR19, a few points can and will make or break what seems to be many close sets. It also affects ranked play by giving an edge to players based on externalities instead of innate...

Pokkén Tournament Pika Pika! Pikachu (Pokken) Social Thread

Yeah, I'm aware of the training mode--but it probably isn't all that's there, is it? I know that tournament play favors >+Y, >+Y, ^+A more often than the default #1 combo, for instance.

Pokkén Tournament Pika Pika! Pikachu (Pokken) Social Thread

The Pikachu SoCal thread, eh? What about Northern California? Or East Coast? :V (also: is there a list of Pikachu combos anywhere? I'd imagine Japan's already got most of his kit worked out.)

    Taipei, Taiwan, anyone?

Yo, so: I've been having a hard time finding Smash Wii U players--whether via the FB group or anywhere else (even tried Forumosa). So might as well check in here again. I'm down in Sanxia, near Taoyuan. I can host meetups, 1v1s, whatever--Street Fighter V as well, but I only got the one stick...

    Taipei, Taiwan, anyone?

Don't got a CRT either, but I've Smash Wii U, the adapter, and a giant-ass flatscreen. Problem is, I'm down in Sanxia, just south of Taoyuan--been finding it hard to get anything together by not being in Taipei proper. Thinking about just opening up my house every Sunday to anybody that wants...

    Event - EVO 2016 Evo 2015

Nah. "Anyone can" is a bunch of bull. Not only do physical and mental conditions vary, but personal and inherent limits are a real thing. Whether by economic circumstances or more subtle things like reaction speed and aging. Why do you think the "gods" exist? Why do you think single individuals...

    Taipei, Taiwan, anyone?

Down in Sanxia, New Taipei district. About half an hour out from Taipei by public transport. It is a pain and a half, trying to get a full customs practice set for Evo. D: I've got four Amiibos slaving away in the customs mine, and running hours of 3DS classic mode a day.

    Taipei, Taiwan, anyone?

Yo, fishing wildly: is there anybody here planning to attend Evo? I have reasons to be stateside then, and shoehorned it into my plans. I am also TERRIBLE, because of nothing but CPU play. Sure, ZeRo might've reached godhood just doing that and watching Mew2king videos, but I'm not ZeRo. Who...

    Taipei, Taiwan, anyone?

I HAVE IT. IT FINALLY FREAKING ARRIVED. I have a Wii U, Smash, AND THE GAMECUBE CONTROLLER ADAPTER. English version, and no -- I haven't unlocked anything yet. It literally just arrived today. WHO WANTS IN?! I live down in the Sanxia area, about half an hour from Yongning Station, so I might...

    Taipei, Taiwan, anyone?

Taipei Smashers! I might have a setup ready in a week or so. Except one thing: the obligatory CRT TV. Where's a good place to get one? Obviously looking for a second-hand store -- nothing but LCDs around here in Sanxia, as far as I can tell.

    Like, I'd be happy to do Melee too, despite my total lack of proficiency, but if we don't have setups we're all floatin' in the same half-assed boat. >_>;;

    Taipei, Taiwan, anyone?

TAIPEI SMASHERS! I'm tired of lag. I'm tired of Final Destination. I'm REALLY goddamn tired of grindin' away at custom movesets. So here's the deal. I have a 3DS. I have the game. I have no doubt you do too. Let's smash it up. Let's do a few money matches. For the scant few of us...
