Second hit/front part of dsmash is pretty much un-punishable if it's not perfect shielded. Super low cool down and the increased shield stun makes it a great option for throwing out a grounded hitbox.

I'm convinced that Ness-Olimar is 30-70. I lost to a random Olimar 1-2 at a regional today. It was impossible to approach, and I proceeded to watch 5 minutes pass by as pikmin were hurled at me. Also, pikmin eat your PKT1/2. This MU is beyond stupid. #Salt

I have yet to actually play with any of Ness' customs. From what I've seen, I only find Lucas' Up B to be useful in regards to recovering. Other than that, Vanilla Ness is the way to go. I'd rather not play as Lucas.
