Made a Ness training mode combo video. Let me know what you think https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mn76TpwlJRw

    Ness Ascended: Versus Kirby

Awesome video. At 1:17 and 1:30, did you ledge cancel the back airs, or just Z-cancel and run off very quickly? Also, I'm assuming you needed a capture card for this? I've been thinking of making a few Ness combo videos myself but I'm not hugely enthusiastic about dropping a ton of money for it.

    Recovery Report Card

I worry that "Safety" and "Options" are vague enough that they're not being applied the same way to all characters. If I'm understanding this correctly, I'm seeing two different pieces to the "Safety" definition: 1) How much the character poses a treat to edgeguarders (which is why Pika's...

    Recovery Report Card

It seems to me that you're still missing at least one characteristic of recovery. You say Ness has a horrible recovery because of his off-stage vulnerability, but there's also his vulnerability post-recovery and bad ledge options. I assume you gave Ness a C for options because (if above stage)...

Thanks for the advice. I'll give both a shot. After practicing for the last hour I'm feeling more optimistic about the fairs with the R button. It seems like it'll take a while to get used to the timing and to get any consistency but it definitely seems possible.

Thanks. And thank god, the non-aerial way seems humanly impossible. If you don't mind I have a few questions: 1) What's your method of DJCing? It sounds from the video like you slide right C - down C - A? 2) It looks like you managed to get the autocancel on all of the fairs in the video. Was...

How do you DJC Rush? I've seen in some places that you don't need to use an aerial and that you just cancel the double jump by jumping really quickly, but the only way I can get that to work is by turning around during the jump. Is it Dash - Turn around - DJ + Turn around - Dash...

Xanadu Monthly 9/19 feat 64 and VGBC stream

It says bracket starts at 5 PM, is there a particular time signups end? And when do you think people will start showing up for friendlies?

    Super Smash Con 2015

He's not really talking about the discrimination itself, he's talking about how people respond to claims of discrimination. Have you not seen anything about GamerGate? Basically whenever anyone (Anita Sarkeesian, Brianna Wu, any female Smash player) mentions instances of online harassment/sexual...

How do you do that forward air before the pivot up tilt? I have a lot of trouble doing forward air that close to the ground, I always seem to miss the z-cancel and I can't figure out if I'm too late or too early. I'm also trying to replicate this combo myself and I can't consistently do the...

    The 64 Renaissance

As someone who is very new, I can vouch for the low tiers nights as a great way of bringing people out. For me and I suspect many other new players, there's a lot of reluctance to come out initially when you think you're just going to get destroyed and you don't know if people are going to be...

    64 players in DC?

Thanks for the offer, I couldn't make it tonight, but let me know if you go again in the future.

    64 players in DC?

@Yobolight I live in DC now (by the Columbia Heights metro) and I have a really free summer (I'm a teacher), so I'd be willing to play just about whenever. I don't have a car, but if you're ever going to Xanadu, I'd pay for a ride. Message me if you're interested. I'll warn you I'm still pretty...
