The main reason why I don't push to use the 3ds or the wiiu pro controller is that I feel like i'd get laughed at. If only they had a wire, that would prevent weird input lag.

It's because they all have a gimmick that'll make you want to buy them. If they were normal or below average, nobody would bother buying them, so they had to make them appealing. The DLC exclusive (ones that havent appeared in any previous titles) characters stick out like a sore thumb compared...

i think they make 3rd party hardware that adds, like, size to the ds. like, a thing the ds slides into that gives it handles. not sure what the rules on ds modifications are. as for the new buttons on the new 3ds, i don't use them at all (you mean the extra shoulder buttons and the c-stick...

I mainly go on the 3ds, too, and have recently been playing smash on my gf's wiiu. haven't noticed any lag, so either im dumb or it isnt a widely spread problem. good luck on that, tho, it sounds like a *****.

Any thing that doesn't just change the colors. An alt. for Lucas and Ness that puts them in each other's outfits would be cute, maybe them wearing their other party member's outfits? The possibilities are endless and they just went with different colored t-shirts

Every character has moves that are unfavorable, that's part of balancing. Also makes it more fun when you pull it off despite it (DK's giant punch or Captain Falcon's falco punch, for example). It would be nice if Lucas and Ness's neutral special move didn't cause them to go into free-fall...

Honestly playing against a good Captain Falcon is so much fun. Even if i get my ass handed to me, it's so much fun to be part of that hype. In terms of a good match-up tho? Probably DK and Bowser. Approaching them with Lucas is super easy, not to mention they're easy to spike with his b-air.

Interesting idea, but almost all main characters in their respective games are the most powerful. they are the main character after all! i can only think of a few examples where they'd be pretty weak (ie: luigi) but besides that almost everyone would be OP

honestly one of the ways i got a feel for which characters i liked and didnt was just going random and playing against a lvl 5 npc. if anything its entertaining trying every character at least once. good luck!
