Wii GCA Inject: PM on Wii U with Gamecube Adapter (beta)

It took me what felt like an eon to finally get this working. I tried different SD cards, hook types, nothing worked. Game would lock up once I ran Gecko and it got to the loading screen. Narrowed it down to only happening with the patch. On a hunch, I realized I had my external drive hooked up...

Q&A How Do I Penguin? King Dedede Q&A Thread

Gordo Toss sticking to the wall is basically a coin flip. @Soul Train did a good deal of research on it a while back. If you're interested, Bouncing Gordo (one of the side b customs) will stick 100% of the time.

Social Mount Dedede - His Majesty's Social Thread (Come in and Introduce Yourself!)

That's kind of a cynical way of looking at the game's balance, though. You have to consider what many people consider to be top 15 or 20 or whatever. Characters ranging from Sheik to ROB to Ike, Meta Knight, or Mewtwo have all taken tournaments. Even D3, a character widely considered to be...

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

Could've sworn this question has been answered (several times), but... The only REAL option is copying over a hacked save file, or hacking your save data yourself, via 3DS homebrew. You could technically grind for the parts, but given how utterly awful the game's RNG is...I wouldn't bother...

Data General Match-Up Discussion Thread (ask about matchups here!)

I think Ryu technically has the advantage against us by virtue of not having garbage frame data and a godlike advantage state, but Dedede is very good at poking at him and keeping him out. If Ryu can't find the holes in Dedede's gameplay he's going to lose. His poor air movement means we can...

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

The point of this tech is that it makes several frame-perfect techs easier to perform for the common man, at the expense of having to use an unorthodox control scheme. Really, the main thing is that you'll have to fight muscle memory and possibly loss out on some things the standard controls do...

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

But it is an option, and right now the only viable one if you don't have access to a system on older firmware. Unless you want to spend just as much money buying a refurbished 2DS. :ohwell: The rollback requires you to have access to hax. Which means, in the case of players on 10.6, you need...

So update on powersaves: I did manage to get oot3Dhax working through it. We can use that to load homebrew even on the latest firmware, and through that you can install the SLAJ save data. It looks a little daunting to do at first but if you read the instructions carefully it's not hard at all...

Oh, then use these: Smooth Lander Brawn Badge, 6 Attack, -22 Defense, 0 Speed, Range 13 Anchor Jump Agility Badge, -6 Attack, 0 Defense, 50 Speed, Range 5 Super Final Smasher Protection Badge, 0 Attack, 22 Defense, -27 Speed, Range 9

So I have just tried it...the power saves file is different from the save data provided by homebrew. I was able to successfully install hacked files by homebrew, and then back up that file using powersaves, but I couldn't transfer it to another Smash cart. Basically, the file backed up by...

Does power saves use the same system_data file that the homebrew save manager does? If so, you could probably download the save file from the starter kit: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7VGqv2RnmrTR1RSRmtUMkVSMnc/view

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

It's technically possible to unlock the badges manually, but since you would have to rely on Smash 4's awful random drop system...it'd be practically impossible to get the exact set we're using. Until another homebrew exploit comes along or you get access to a 3DS that has homebrew on it, the...

IMPORTANT If you haven't installed the save file yet, DO NOT update your 3DS. It blocks both menuhax and browserhax.

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

TBH I think he does have points that haven't really been addressed. I'm not the correct person to argue for or against these things but I will say this. We've already gone beyond the scope of the game by involving 3DS homebrew. This in of itself is a huge barrier to entry for people that don't...

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

Method 3 works with physical and digital, but digital users are forced to use it because digital versions of Smash have an extra save data check.
