Melee vs. Smash Wii U? (New Player)

Crap, I didn't mean to come off like that. Smash 4 is a game heavily based off of mindgames. What I meant to say was something more along the lines of something that I read a while ago that I agree with -- Smash 4 is a lot like a traditional fighter in the sense that mindgames/strategy revolves...

    Why WaveDash?

I'm a newbie, but I wish there was more funposting and I wish there were more scrubs on here. It sounds cool.

Smash in Movie Theaters (make it a reality)

I'd love it if big tournies could be streamed in theaters. For instance, you could go and watch Top 8 of a national at a theater with, say, 50 other Smash fans, and maybe some people could bring portable setups for friendlies. It could be cool, but I'm not sure if it'd be practical.

Songs You Jam Out To While You Play

I rarely listen to music while playing but if I did, it'd be jazz or the Undertale OST.

Melee vs. Smash Wii U? (New Player)

Melee is a good game, Smash 4 is not. There's your answer /s In all seriousness, Melee is faster paced and good players need to have good technical skill along with good strategy and mindgames. This technical skill allows for more creativity in combos and whatnot. Smash 4 relies more on...

Things we should be doing more of

I've been able to get uthrow chaingrabs on Fox from around 0%-60%, but I dunno what to do if they DI away at lower percents.

    Down B techchasing?

It might be a good option if you want to follow up on a throw but I think that the move would end the techchase situation.

    Ariel CC

Luigi can stand on his own even without these glitches, but they certainly can help him out greatly.

Oh, I didn't realize that. Never mind...

    Ariel CC

This could potentially be really big against Foxes. Not only does the invisible ceiling glitch help against Fox's upsmash, but I assume that it could be used to cancel downward momentum from Fox's shinespike similar to what happened with Abate vs S2J. I'm really excited for the future of this...

Rivals of Aether - Official Thread

I dunno if anybody cares about this, but I will no longer be posting from this account. Instead, I will be posting from the name "Gravitas". Also, I'll probably be getting the new build soon, so I'll most likely be posting lots of GIFs and possible bugs (I doubt there are any).

Wow, that link is perfect! Thanks! I'll probably be getting the game in that case.

Rivals of Aether - Official Thread

Hey guys and gals, it's been a while since I've been on Smashboards and been in this thread. I have a quick few questions: Does the Early Access build support DInput controllers? If not, has anybody had experience using a program such as joy2key, and if so, how much input lag is there?

Rivals of Aether - Official Thread

I don't have the new build, but I'm wondering if you still don't go into any lag if the first hit of your jab combo / your jab is parried. I know that was the case in the last build, but is this still the case in the new one?

Rivals of Aether - Official Thread

Bones has special access to dev builds (he got the unreleased May build), but if other people in chat have the build then I guess it means that we won't. Oh well.
